It is my privilege to congratulate all our reviewers, editorial staffs, and publishers for their untiring effort to publish the journal issue on time once again. I would like to mention the recent important change of decision regarding publication policy of JACP. We have decided to introduce "ahead of print (AOP)" facility in JACP now onwards. Henceforth, all the accepted articles will be published online as AOP shortly after the acceptance, and the full-text articles will be available on the web. I hope this will reduce the longer waiting time of the articles in the queue and make the publication process much faster. I invite all the authors to select our journal for publication of their quality articles.

I appeal to all the faculties in pulmonary medicine with scholastic aptitude and interest to join their hands with us as reviewers to improve our journal performance. I would also request all the reviewers to finish their review process on time to avoid unnecessary delay. From time to time, section editors, editorial board members and reviewers will be asked to contribute with review articles, commentary or editorials for the JACP and they need to respond to the request promptly.

I am sure that with our joint effort we would be able to stride forward, overcoming the obstacles, and can make our journal a stronger, distinguished and state of the art publication in the field of pulmonary medicine.
